Infomaniak — product engineering on a media platform and its consoles

Overview

Since January 2023, I have been a Senior Full-Stack Developer at Infomaniak, Switzerland’s leading hosting and cloud provider. The central fact of this case study fits in one sentence: more than 6,000 versioned contributions in under four years, across a suite of real products — admin consoles, an audio and video content management platform, invoicing, web players.

Client context

Infomaniak runs services that teams and individuals use every day — email, storage, streaming, video, AI. Behind the scenes, these products rely on admin consoles and management tools: that is where day-to-day operations happen, and that is where I work.

My role

Senior Full-Stack Developer since 2023. The scope evolved with the needs: from 2023 to 2024, admin interfaces and the design system that keeps them consistent; since 2025, the audio and video content management platform (radio and VOD), the invoicing pipeline and the web players. Every change goes through merge requests that are reviewed, tested and continuously integrated.

Challenges

  • Products in production, used every day: every change must stay safe, with no visible regression.
  • Multiple teams, one shared interface language: the design system carries the consistency, not individual initiative.
  • Complex journeys — catalog management, invoicing — where accessibility and internationalization are structural, not finishing touches.
  • A continuous delivery cadence, with high review standards.

Solutions

  • Reusable Angular components (signals, standalone), robust forms and tables, well-controlled application state.
  • Theming and dark mode carried by the design system, not by one-off patches.
  • Accessibility addressed from the design stage: keyboard navigation, ARIA, contrast, full internationalization.
  • Tests, code review and GitLab CI/CD: every merge request is verified before it reaches production.

Engineering

Current-generation Angular (signals, standalone components) for the front end, Angular Material for interface foundations, an in-house design system for consistency, GitLab CI for continuous integration. On the media side: operational interfaces for audio and video catalogs, embeddable web players. On the business side: invoicing, where every number has to be right.

Result

More than 6,000 versioned contributions since 2023, spread across the day-to-day operation of several products: admin consoles, radio and VOD media platform, invoicing, players. The proof delivered here is not an isolated project: it is a durable, verifiable contribution within a team and demanding production standards.

Key expertise

  • Advanced Angular — signals, standalone components, state store
  • Design system and theming
  • WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility
  • i18n (FR, EN, DE)
  • Audio and video web players
  • Code review and CI/CD (GitLab)
